Coming in last in the list of the World’s Fastest Cars, this tarmac scorcher is a concept from the workshops of Rimac and churns out more than a 1000 BHP of power.

The ‘Rimac Concept One’ was crowned the world’s first electric supercar. With a body chiselled out of carbon fiber, it can achieve an ‘electronically limited’ top speed of 355 km/hr. The motor outputs 1,088 hp of power and 1200 lb-ft of torque. It can make the 0-100 sprint in a mere 2.8 seconds & comes with a price tag of a whooping $980,000.

Tesla P90D

Tesla S P90 D - 4th Fastest Electric Car

Elon Musk doesn’t seem to be able to do anything wrong and the Tesla S P90 D can travel more than 500 kms on a single charge.

A motor that pumps 532 hp of power and 713 lb-ft of torque is what it takes Tesla to manufacture a car that can make the 0-100 sprint in 2.8 seconds. This sedan has blue blooded elegance flowing through its veins & will achieve a maximum speed of 250 km/hr. A performance mode called ‘Ludicrous Speed’ inspired from the movie ‘Spaceball’ delivers such laws defying power at the disposal of your foot.

NIO EP9

Nio EP9 - 3rd Fastest Electric Car

It could have been crowned the World’s Fastest Car, if it wasn’t for the modified electric muscle cars to follow. Nonetheless, EP9 is the world’s fastest non-modified, conventional electric car.

Chinese company NextEV has built the world’s fastest electric car from the ground up in the form of the NIO EP9. Its four high performance motors along with its four independent gearboxes churn out 1390 hp of power and 1410 lb-ft off torque. This head turner has breathtaking curves and looks everything like one’s wildest fantasy of how a supercar should look like. It has a top speed of 310 km/hr and hits 100 km/hr in 2.8 seconds.

The White Zombie (1972 Datsun 1200)

Don’t be fooled by this unassuming little Datsun’s appearance. This innocent looking car can outperform any Ferrari in the market with its 192 cell lithium polymer battery.

Good news for old school muscle fans – the fastest two cars on the list are heavily modified old school cars. Car builder John Wayand built The White Zombie which is actually a 1972 Datsun 1200, modified to the extremes of legality to output 538 bhp of power and 1250 lb-ft of torque using a 192 cell lithium-polymer battery. It speeds up to a ton in an astounding 1.8 seconds.

Zombie 222  (Ford Mustang ‘68)

Fueled by the success of his White Zombie, car builder John Wayland came together with Mitch Medford at Bloodshed Motors to give the world its first Electric Muscle Super Car.

With a 1968 Fastback Ford Mustang at it’s heart, this performance driven electrically powered car is probably  the fastest street legal car in the world making the dash up to a century in a mere 1.79 seconds. That’s sprinting up to 100 km/hr quicker then we can say 1.79 seconds. Generating 800 hp of power and 1800 lb-ft of torque, this Mustang is a monster reincarnated. It’s manufacturers Bloodshed Motors are bringing forth a new category of electric muscle cars.
